iThemes Hosting was a managed WordPress hosting product powered by Liquid Web infrastructure. Liquid Web acquired iThemes in January 2018. The hosting product launched later that year but was subsequently discontinued as customers were funneled into Liquid Web and Nexcess managed WordPress plans. The iThemes brand was rebranded to SolidWP; as of 2026 the SolidWP plugins (Solid Security, Solid Backups) are sold as part of Liquid Web’s
Kadence Add-ons Bundle, and solidwp.com now redirects to that page. No hosting product remains.
This entity exists for reference. Former iThemes Hosting customers are now on Liquid Web infrastructure.
Migration notes
iThemes Hosting customers were migrated to Liquid Web and Nexcess managed WordPress infrastructure. In 2025, the Nexcess product line was rebranded under the Liquid Web brand as Liquid Web Managed WordPress. Former iThemes Hosting accounts are now managed WordPress plans under Liquid Web.
If you are looking for the email configuration for your former iThemes Hosting account: the email behavior depends on whether your account was migrated to Liquid Web VPS/dedicated (cPanel email included, full sending capability) or Liquid Web Managed WordPress (platform relay, basic email included). The Liquid Web entry covers both product lines.
The iThemes brand continued as SolidWP through 2025; in 2026 the SolidWP plugins (Solid Security, Solid Backups) were folded into Liquid Web’s Kadence Add-ons Bundle. No standalone SolidWP or iThemes hosting product remains.
